The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Mr. Y. Kistafin, held a meeting with the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan.

Islamabad, November 22, 2023 - The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Mr. Y. Kistafin, held a meeting with the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Mr. Murtaza Solangi.

In line with objectives set by the Head of State to develop “constructive and good neighborly relations with the countries of South Asia,” Ambassador Y. Kistafin emphasized the importance of fostering cooperation with Pakistan.

During the meeting, both parties acknowledged the relevance of interaction in the field of telecommunications and mass media, and agreed to establish a structured dialogue in this area. The proposal to initiate cooperation at the level of national television channels was put forward as the initial step.

Both parties expressed mutual interest in establishing correspondent offices for leading media outlets in Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to organize an online meeting between the Ministers of Information of the two countries,involving leading TV channels, with the subsequent signing of relevant memorandums of cooperation.
