KAZAKHSTAN EXPANDS COOPERATION WITH FINNISH PARTNERS IN ECOLOGY AND LOGGING

Helsinki, February 5, 2025 - A meeting was held between the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Finland, the «Semey Ormany» State Forest Nature Reserve, «SKYMAX Technologies» and the Finnish company «Vaisala».

«Vaisala» is a leading global developer and manufacturer of meteorological and environmental measurement systems. The company specializes in equipment for monitoring weather, air quality and climate change, providing innovative solutions for public and private organizations.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed further opportunities for the implementation of Vaisala's advanced technologies in Kazakhstan. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development of cooperation in the field of environmental monitoring and sustainable management of natural resources.

In addition, the Embassy and the Head of the «Semey Ormany» State Forest Nature Reserve held a meeting with the founders of the Finnish logging company «Nisula», Mr. Ali Nisula and Mr. Esa Nisula. During the visit, representatives of Kazakhstan visited the «Nisula» plant, where they got acquainted with the production process and technologies for the production of harvester heads and logging equipment.

The negotiations with «Nisula» were aimed at discussing the prospects for cooperation in the field of mechanization of forestry in Kazakhstan, the introduction of modern technologies for efficient and environmentally friendly logging. The parties expressed interest in further interaction and exchange of experience.
