LEGAL ISSUES: ON THE AGENDA OF THE MEETING AT THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF FINLAND

Helsinki, November 20, 2024 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan Azamat Abdraimov met with Acting Permanent Secretary Antti Leinonen at the Ministry of Justice of Finland. 

During the meeting, the Kazakhstan diplomat informed about the current issues of the domestic and foreign policy of Kazakhstan, including the implementation of large-scale reforms, which involved the overhaul of key state institutions. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan also highlighted the strengthening of human rights institutions and the modernization of the electoral process in the country.   

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the legal sphere as well as in the field of criminal justice and elections.

 Noting the active dynamics of contacts between the countries at high and the highest levels, the Kazakhstan diplomat stressed the readiness of the Kazakhstan side to further expand and deepen partnership with Suomi in these areas.

Concluding the meeting, the parties noted the intention to further deepen partnership and strengthen ties between Kazakhstan and Finland.
