Ambassador of Kazakhstan attended first national Halal conference

On October 22nd, 2024, Ambassador Kanat Tumysh of Kazakhstan attended the “Conference on fostering international cooperation and mobilizing internal resources to develop Vietnam’s Halal industry”.

This conference is extremely important to the Halal industry in Vietnam, as it is the first national Halal conference that has been held, with the attendance of Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, Ambassadors from Muslim countries, leaders in Halal industry, as well as other notable experts in the academics and media outlets. The event is co-organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam.

During the event, Ambassador Tumysh met with PM Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, where an exchange of views took place on current topical issues related to Kazakh-Vietnamese cooperation, such as trade, economic, investment, energy, transport and logistics, cultural and humanitarian spheres. PM Pham Minh Chinh and Minister Huynh Thanh Dat thanked Ambassador for his effort in helping develop and expanding the Halal industry in Vietnam, as a representative of a prominent Muslim country, and confirmed their general support towards Kazakhstan’s future plans.

The meetings were held in an atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect.
