Kazakh Ambassador visits North and Central Viet Nam

Hanoi, May 21, 2024 – H.E. Mr. Kanat Tumysh, between 7-8 May  visited Điện Biên province (North Viet Nam), and then, between 14-17 May, Quảng Nam province (Central Viet Nam).

  1. In Điện Biên he attended a solemn event dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the great 1959 Điện Biên Phủ Victory of Vietnamese people over French colonial troops.

Above all, Ambassador visited local Monument and Temple to pay tribute to all the Vietnamese heroes, and home front workers.

After that he held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Mùa A Sơn, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the Điện Biên province.

He also met with the leaders of Simao district (P.R.China) and Phongsaly province (Lao P.D.R.), neighbouring Vietnamese Điện Biên province.

The parties discussed some topics, inter alia, trade, economy, finance, investment, tourism, transport, agriculture, mining, energy, culture, education, science and others. Remarkably, they put emphasis of the international Middle Transport Corridor on the route ASEAN - Laos - Viet Nam - China - Kazakhstan - Azerbaijan - Türkiye - Europe.

  1. In Quảng Nam Ambassador attended two international events, organized by the Viet Nam National Association of Entrepreneurship (VINEN) and authorities of Quảng Nam province:
    a) International Conference "Development Entrepreneurship Ideas";
    b) QUANG NAM 2024 International Business Forum.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan also held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Hồ Quang Bửu, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee. Like in Điện Biên, the Kazakh high-ranked diplomat discussed with the Vietnamese counterpart some topics, inter alia, trade, economy, B2B contacts, investment, tourism, transport, agriculture, mining, energy, culture, education, science and others. They agreed that the possible direct flights between Kazakhstan and Danang International Airport will boost bilateral cooperation and partnerships.
