The Ambassador of Kazakhstan took part in «Meet Da Nang 2024»

On January 26, 2024, at the invitation of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kanat Tumysh took part in the plenary session of the forum «Meet Da Nang 2024».

The event was attended by more than 300 guests, including representatives of ministries and departments of Vietnam, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, international cooperation agencies of other countries in Vietnam, non-governmental organizations, as well as companies with foreign investments and companies invested by Vietnamese from abroad.

The Forum aims to establish cooperation with local and international partners, diplomatic agencies and investors.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang Le Trung Chinh announced the approval of the General Plan of the city for the period up to 2030 with a view to 2050. In the near future, the city will begin work on attracting investments in such areas as high technology, maritime transport, aviation, smart urban construction, innovation and digital transformation.

Following the event, the People's Committee signed a number of memorandums of understanding with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and large companies such as Synopsys International Limited and Intel.

Da Nang also presented a certificate of approval of the investment policy to KP Aero Industries Co., Ltd. from the Republic of Korea, which plans to invest in a project for the production of aviation components worth 20 million US dollars.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan held meetings with the leadership of the city and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on the sidelines of the event. A meeting was also held with the Chairman of the Vietnamese Society of Travel Agents (Vietnam Society of Travel Agents, VISTA) Cao Tri Dung, within the framework of which the Vietnamese side expressed interest in organizing charter flights from Kazakhstan to Da Nang and back in order to develop tourism and commercial ties.
