Ambassador of Kazakhstan met with President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On December 21, 2023, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kanat Tumysh held a meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Vietnam Mr. Pham Tan Cong.

During a comprehensive dialogue and exchange of views, the parties discussed some topical issues of increased mutual cooperation in bilateral relations. In particular:

1) establishment of the Kazakh-Vietnamese Business Council;

2) signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakstan and the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Vietnam;

3) intensification of cooperation of the Organization of Turkic states (OTS) countries with the Association of Southeast Asian states (ASEAN) within the framework of the chairmanship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the OTS. The parties agreed that for this purpose, it would be very important to use the "middle corridor" for the maximum development and increase of transit-transport and multimodal-logistics potential along the Route Vietnam-China-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Turkey-Europe to both ASEAN and OTS;

4) exchange of lists of priority goods in the field of the agro-industrial complex.

The meeting was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere aimed at raising bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
