The Ambassador of Kazakhstan met with the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam

On November 14, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Tumysh met with the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, to discuss some topical issues of bilateral cooperation between our friendly countries.

Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, highly appreciating the most productive results of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Vietnam on August 20-22 this year, noted that he gave a great impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the issues of holding the Days of Culture of Vietnam in Kazakhstan in 2024, and the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Vietnam in 2025 were considered. Among other things, they discussed: the intensification of cooperation between sports associations, the opening of streets/monuments, the signing of a Cooperation Plan for 2024-2026 in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, increasing the number of flights, tourism, the development of scientific and cultural ties and other important issues.

In addition, the Vietnamese side expressed high interest in establishing contacts between the tourism and sports associations of the two countries. Thus, one of the first steps of establishing contacts is a joint proposal to organize a friendly football match between the national teams of Kazakhstan and Vietnam.

Having also informed about the ongoing work of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), issues of promoting cooperation between the OTS countries and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) were discussed.

The meeting was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere aimed at raising bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
