Plans for increasing touristic attractiveness of Kazakhstan were discussed in the Netherlands

The Hague, 10 October 2024 — Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Netherlands Kairat Abdrakhmanov met with Mr. Ardjan Langedijk, Foreign Representative of the «Kazakh Tourism" National Company» JSC in the Netherlands. During the meeting the discussion was held on advancing the cooperation in the field of tourism, aimed at enhancing the visibility of Kazakhstan as a prime travel destination and attracting a greater number of international tourists.

During the meeting, Ambassador Abdrakhmanov and Mr. Langedijk discussed strategies to further strengthen the ties between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands, with a particular emphasis on attracting more Dutch tourists to Kazakhstan. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to promoting Kazakhstan's unique and diverse tourism opportunities, ranging from cultural heritage to adventure and eco-tourism.

In light of these goals, the Ambassador and Mr. Langedijk explored a number of upcoming events designed to raise awareness about Kazakhstan as a premier travel destination. Among the key events discussed was the Informational Roundtable on the Touristic Potential of Kazakhstan, which will be held on October 25, 2024, in The Hague. This roundtable will provide an excellent platform for Dutch tourism companies and stakeholders to learn more about Kazakhstan’s tourism offerings and opportunities for collaboration.

Ambassador Abdrakhmanov highlighted Kazakhstan’s ongoing efforts to develop its tourism infrastructure, while Mr. Langedijk expressed his optimism about the growing interest in Kazakhstan among Dutch travellers.

The Embassy looks forward to continuing its work with Kazakh Tourism and other partners to foster tourism links between the two nations, bringing more travellers to discover the beauty and rich cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
