A meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The Hague, July 12, 2022 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan A. Zhumagaliyev met with Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Peter Potman.

During the conversation, Kazakh Ambassador noted the constructive and friendly nature of Kazakh-Dutch relations, he also stressed the leading position of the Netherlands as a foreign direct investor to the economy of Kazakhstan, as well as the fourth place of the Netherlands among the largest trading partners of the country.

“Much attention is paid to the diversification of economic cooperation, inviting Dutch companies and partners to the agro-industrial business, education, medicine, digital technologies, water management and other sectors of the Kazakhstan`s economy,” A. Zhumagaliyev noted.

In turn, the representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands expressed his confidence in the strategic prospects for political dialogue and comprehensive economic cooperation between the two countries.

They discussed the current situation in logistics, food security, and energy issues which has been greatly affected by the crisis in Ukraine, and also exchanged their views on the expanding of new trade routes and perfection of existing Kazakhstan's port infrastructure.
