Amsterdam, June 14, 2022 - The development of the greenhouse sector of the republic will receive a new impulse. In order to achieve the intended goal, Kazakhstan plans to adopt high-tech approaches in the organization of greenhouse management from the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This was announced by Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Abulkhair Tamabek during the GreenTech international exhibition in Amsterdam.
"Kazakhstan has a huge potential for the development of the greenhouse sector: solar energy, 25 million hectares of arable land. We have a lot of opportunities. One hectare is quite enough for greenhouses, not only to meet the needs of the family, but also to send part of the harvest for sale. Every citizen of Kazakhstan has such an opportunity (to rent one hectare of land for gardening from the state). This is a huge opportunity, and we must take advantage of it. We must implement the practice of those countries where greenhouses are well developed," A. Tamabek said, noting the deserved leadership of the Netherlands in the field of greenhouse development and management. That is why Kazakhstan has chosen the Kingdom as a partner.
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture heads the delegation from Kazakhstan. In addition to representatives of the branch department, it includes about 15 domestic entrepreneurs interested in establishing business ties with Dutch gardeners.
During their stay at GreenTech week, delegates will get acquainted with advanced technologies and high-tech solutions in the field of greenhouse business that contribute to safe food production. They will visit a number of leading Dutch greenhouse enterprises. GreenTech week will last from June 12 to 17. As a result of the event, it is expected that bilateral agreements on cooperation between the participating countries of GreenTech week will be signed.
It should be noted that this visit of the delegates was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Netherlands together with the national company "Kazakh Invest".
