The Netherlands University is interested in cooperation with Kazakh universities

Amsterdam, 26 May 2022 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Netherlands Askar Zhumagaliyev met with the leadership and faculty of the TIO University of Applied Sciences. During the meeting, representatives of the university expressed their readiness to cooperate with Kazakhstani universities.

«Innovation is the key to the future. You can see that most of the local companies pay special attention to the development and implementation of innovations. Take, for example, the world-famous company Philips. This is what we are striving for.  We want to educate and inspire students, regardless of whether they decide to stay here or go to their homeland,” said Carlo van Rantwijk, lecturer at TIO University, during the meeting.

The teachers of the university are practicing businessmen who prepare students for the real requirements and demands of the market.

TIO is interested in establishing cooperation with Kazakh universities that have a similar ideology, principles, and outlook on the future.

“We are not chasing the number of applicants, the quality of education that we can give is important for us. Our main difference from other universities in the Kingdom is practice. We do not delve into theory, we are tailored to practical requirements,” the university explains.

So, for example, a bachelor's program can be completed in 3 years, instead of 4. The last year of study is completely devoted to practice.

For reference: the educational institution is notable for the fact that its curricula are recognized as the best in the Netherlands over the past 11 years according to the Higher Education Guide.
