The Netherlands business supports the Government and the people of Kazakhstan

Representatives of the Dutch business community continue to express their support to Kazakhstan and hope to continue further cooperation under the previously reached agreements.

In his video message Miltiadis Gkouzoris, CEO of HVA International says:

– Over the past weeks our company has been following the situation in the Republic Kazakhstan, where following violent upraise tens of people have lost their lives. As a company with significant interest in the country, we were impressed by how well and quickly the Government was able to restore stability and stop the bloodshed. These actions give us confidence that we can do business in Kazakhstan. We therefore would like to extend our admiration and appreciation to the Government and hope for continued fruitful collaboration for the next years to come.

Eric Egberts, the CEO of Dutch Greenhouse Delta noted the following:

– We have seen all the difficult challenges that you (the people of Kazakhstan) have to come through over the last few weeks. We would like to say that we support you and your country. I was in Kazakhstan last year, held meetings; we made joint plans to foster a brighter future in agriculture and horticulture. We would like to continue this effort in 2022. We are looking forward to meeting you again in April of this year and making our plans a reality together with you, people of Kazakhstan.

The Netherlands is the "number one" investor in Kazakhstan by the volume of foreign direct investment. Between 2005 and Q3 2021 gross FDI from the Netherlands to Kazakhstan amounted to 103.3 billion US dollars. Bilateral trade turnover between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the first 11 months of 2021 amounted to $ 4.1 billion. (35.5% more than the same period in 2020). In Kazakhstan, there are 669 registered legal entities with the participation of Dutch capital.
