On April 28, 2021 in Kazakhstan, in the year of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence, a historical session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was held.
One of the brightest pages of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been the creation of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, when in December 1992 representatives of all ethnic groups gathered in the city of Almaty. Then the foundations of this institute were laid, which last year celebrated its 25th anniversary. Over the years of independence, the Assembly has shown itself to be an international brand in the field of achievement of peace, unity and accord.
There is a 10,000-strong Greek diaspora in Kazakhstan. Ethnic Greeks-Kazakhstanis have preserved their native language historical traditions and culture. The Association of Greek Societies of Kazakhstan "Filia" is very active.
During this historic 29th session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, a welcome letter was announced by the ex-Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece for Greek Diaspora Abroad Terens Quick.
For the European reader, the Belgian news agency Euractiv.com published an article by the expert of the Institute of World Economy and Politics of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation (Kazakhstan) Aiman Zhusupova about the history of the Assembly and the Kazakh model of interethnic accord.
