GreenTech Amsterdam 2025: Kazakhstan and the Netherlands Strengthen Agricultural Partnership

From June 10 to 12, 2025, a Kazakhstani delegation participated in one of the world’s largest agricultural technology exhibitions — GreenTech Amsterdam 2025. A series of productive meetings with Dutch partners took place during the event, with particular attention given to attracting investment in greenhouse development across various regions of Kazakhstan, based on advanced resource-saving technologies.

As part of the event, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, H.E. Kairat Abdrakhmanov, and the Secretary-General (Vice Minister) of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Netherlands, Mr. Jan-Kees Goet, signed the Protocol of the Third Meeting of the Bilateral Joint Working Group on Agriculture, which had been held in Astana in April 2025.

The Protocol outlines key areas such as the development of seed production, implementation of a joint roadmap for Kazakhstan’s accession to the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV), cooperation in agricultural education and innovation, projects in livestock and veterinary sectors, as well as initiatives in aquaculture and the promotion of Kazakh agri-exports to the EU market.

According to both sides, the implementation of the agreed initiatives will elevate agricultural cooperation between the two countries to a strategic level.
