President’s Address discussed in Geneva

Geneva, March 18, 2022 - the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Yerlan Alimbayev met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.

Kazakh diplomat informed the High Commissioner about the large-scale program of political reforms and the concept of building a "New Kazakhstan", unveiled in the address of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on 16 March 2022. Ambassador Alimbayev also presented to the High Commissioner the latest information on the investigation of the January events.

In her turn, Michelle Bachelet showed sincere interest in the new political program of the Head of State and expressed confidence in further constructive cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UN Office for Human Rights.
