About the meeting with representatives of Air Astana in Frankfurt am Main

On June 19, the meeting of the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Frankfurt am Main Yermukhambet Konuspayev with the Senior Regional Manager of AirAstana JSC for Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey Susith Hettihewa took place.

During the meeting the issues of condition and perspectives of development of the activity of the representative office of the national air carrier in Frankfurt am Main were discussed. In particular, the representative of Air Astana informed about the interest of the Kazakh airline in the speedy resumption of flights on the Nur-Sultan – Frankfurt and Kostanay – Hanover routes from July 1, 2020, provided the removal of restrictions on crossing the state borders of the two countries.

It should be noted that from March to June, Air Astana operated almost continuously weekly flights on the routes Uralsk – Frankfurt – Uralsk and Atyrau – Amsterdam – Atyrau, thanks to which more than 6 thousand Kazakh citizens were able to return to their homeland during the coronavirus pandemic.
