The exhibition of drawings of children with special needs «The world through the eyes of children» was held in Yerevan

Yerevan, June 1, 2021 - Within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan and the International Day for Protection of Children, under the patronage of the wife of the President of Armenia Nouneh Sarkissian, an exhibition of Kazakhstani children with special needs “The World through the Eyes of Children" was held at the orphanage named after M.Izmirlian in Yerevan. It was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Armenia, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Kazakhstani public fund "Ayalagan Alakan" and the Yerevani orphanage named after M.Izmirlyan for children with special needs, mental and physical disabilities.

First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Tatevik Stepanyan, Director of the orphanage named after M.Izmirlyan Tamara Mnatsakanyan, heads of state, public and humanitarian organizations, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Yerevan, as well as representatives of local media attended the event. In her welcoming speech, the wife of the President of Armenia N. Sarkissian stressed the importance and relevance of such initiatives, which unite the children of the two countries. Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Imanbayev noted that the exhibition is of great importance for the development of bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

During the exhibition, the participants were familiarized with the achievements of Kazakhstan in political and socio-economic development during the years of Independence, democratic reforms initiated by the Head of State, including the protecting of the rights of children and disabled people. As part of the event, the Embassy and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan donated to the orphanage named after M.Izmirlian sports equipment and gifts.

On June 1 this year the works of Kazakhstani children with special needs were also presented at the concert of the “Yerevan - my love” charity foundation, which aroused great interest among the public.
