The 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in the capital of Kazakhstan on May 26, 2021, the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the meeting, the Armenian side was informed about the creation of a commodity distribution system consisting of 24 wholesale and distribution centers in the country. The purpose of which is to ensure the smooth operation of trade flows in Kazakhstan. In order to create a unified system for the delivery of goods from the manufacturer to the consumer in export markets, it will be integrated with cross-border trade centers on the border with Kyrgyzstan, in the border zone with the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan.
"I suggest that we jointly work out the issue of creating a commodity distribution system, taking into account the extensive experience of the Armenian side in entering the large retail networks of the Russian Federation market," Bakhyt Sulatanov said.
Eventually, a system of trade hubs with an intelligent management system will be created, which will allow building a chain of growing / producing products, uninterrupted transport logistics and ensuring the loading of export flows of goods delivery to large markets of neighboring countries.
The Armenian side was also invited to study all the existing land and sea infrastructure and take measures to develop a system of multimodal transportation that ensures fast delivery of goods with minimal transport costs.
"We know that some Armenian companies have plans to open logistics warehouses in Kazakhstan. There are problems with the reloading of goods from Kazakhstan to Armenia. I consider it necessary to consider the creation of joint logistics centers, with the involvement of transport and logistics companies to organize the supply of goods within the framework of mutual trade, " the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan concluded.
Deepening and expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as the task of entering the large markets of large trading neighbors, require building an effective transport and logistics chain.
