On June 19, 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan V.Turekhanov held a meeting with the Director of the National Library of the Republic of Tajikistan D.Faizalizoda. The sides discussed issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation and further development of ties between the National Libraries of the two countries.

D.Faizalizoda informed about the history of librarianship, the Library Fund, state programs for publishing books and the development of librarianship in Tajikistan, as well as the activities of book corners of the world.

The head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission proposed to further develop relations, as well as to consider the possibility of signing a Memorandum of cooperation with the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In order to make Tajik readers and the public more familiar with Kazakh history and literature, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan donated books to the Library fund that give an idea of the culture, traditions and character of the people of Kazakhstan.
