The State of Qatar participated in the 1st Ministerial Meeting of the OIC-15 Dialogue Platform, which was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 25-26 May 2023.
The State of Qatar's delegation was headed by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Ms. Buthaina bint Ali Al-Jabr Al-Nuaimi, and a number of officials of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
During her speech, Her Excellency stressed the importance of this meeting, as it strengthens cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation among the member states of the organization to achieve common goals and aspirations. Her Excellency also praised the efforts and results of the previous OIC summit conferences in the fields of science and technology.
Her Excellency also emphasized the State of Qatar's endeavor to join the international efforts to overcome local, regional and global challenges in these fields and to transform the knowledge that was created into tangible innovations which positively affect our societies and economies.
On the sidelines of the meeting, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Ms. Buthaina bint Ali Al-Jabr Al-Nuaimi met with HE Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Sayasat Nurbek.
The two parties discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of education and higher education, and ways to support and develop them.
Her Excellency also met with HE Mr. Vahid Haddadi Asl, Deputy of Iran's MSRT in International Affairs. During the meeting, aspects of cooperation in the field of education and higher education were discussed.
