The Qatari Minister will take part in the Congress of World and Traditional Religions

April 17 this year the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Doha, A.Issagaliyev, met with the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Qatar, Ghanim bin Shaheen Al-Ghanim. During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat handed him an invitation from the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.Ashimbayev to take part in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on September 14-15, 2022 in Nur-Sultan.

 

The Kazakh diplomat thanked the Minister for the assistance and support of Qatar in promoting the initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to convene the Congress, as well as active participation in its work. The Minister highly appreciated the level and effectiveness of the interreligious forum held in the capital of Kazakhstan every three years and confirmed his participation in the upcoming Congress, which will be devoted to the role of leaders of world and traditional faiths in the socio-spiritual development of mankind in the post-pandemic period.

 

The Ambassador also informed the interlocutor about the current situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the socio-economic and socio-political transformations being carried out in the country as part of the implementation of the President's Address. Tokayev's "New Kazakhstan: the Path of Renewal and rebirth", aimed at further democratic development of society, improving the welfare of the people and countering internal and external threats.
