Qatar hosted a forum on food security

The forum «Strategic Commodities and Food Safety» was held in Doha from February 14 to 16. This event was organized by the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) with the support of the Ministry of the Municipality of the State of Qatar.

The event saw the ceremony of official announcement of the IOFS-COMSTECH Fellowships Program for researchers from the OIC Member States in the Food Security discipline and the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between IOFS and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture took place.

During the visit to Doha, the Director General of the IOFS Ye. Baidaulet, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Qatar A.Issagaliyev, held meetings with the Minister of Municipality of Qatar Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, Chairman of the National Company «Hassad Food» Mohammed Badr Al-Sada, CEO of the Qatar Red Crescent Society Faisal Al Imadi, CEO of «Qatar Investment Authority» Mansour bin Ibrahim Al-Mahmoudi, CEO of the «Qatar Charity» Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chairman of «Qatar Airways» Akbar Al Baker, Head of the Committee on Food Security of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, Mohammed Al Obaidli, where ways of cooperation in the field of food security of Islamic countries were discussed.
