The Ambassador met with Kazakh students in Qatar

On January 21 this year, Ambassador A.Issagaliyev met with Kazakh students studying at higher educational institutions of Qatar in the building of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Doha.

During the meeting, topical issues of concern to the student community were discussed in the context of a worldwide pandemic and quarantine restrictions. The Ambassador confirmed the readiness of the diplomatic mission to provide constant support to our compatriots, protect their rights and interests. A.Issagaliyev particularly focused the attention of the audience on the need to obtain high-quality knowledge and use it in the future for the good of Kazakhstan, compliance with local laws, respect for the traditions and customs of Qatar, as well as the importance of preventing and avoiding any incidents that can harm the students themselves and damage the image of our country.

In connection with the recent events in Kazakhstan, the diplomat urged students to unity, patriotism and mutual support in this difficult time. The Ambassador spoke about the situation in Kazakhstan, as well as the measures taken by the country's leadership to improve the socio-economic situation and improve the welfare of our citizens.

As of today, more than 30 of our citizens are studying at Qatari universities. Kazakhstani students actively participate in the public life of their universities, as well as in Embassy events.
