Congratulations on Teacher's Day!

Congratulations on Teacher's Day!

Today Kazakhstan celebrates Teacher's Day. The teaching profession has always been the most revered in Kazakhstan. The people say "Ustazyndy uly akendey syila" (respect your teacher as a great father).

The main teacher in the history of our people was and remains Ybray Altynsarin - an outstanding Kazakh educator, teacher-innovator and organizer of new schools, ethnographer, folklorist, poet, novelist, and translator.

Ybray Altynsarin worked tirelessly, thanks to which 14 educational institutions were opened, among them four two-class central Russian-Kazakh schools, one vocational school, two women's schools, five township schools, two schools for the children of Russian villagers, a teacher's school in the city of Orenburg. He put a lot of work into the beginning of the organization of women's education.

The example of his loyalty to the cause and the famous call "Kel balalar okylyk"   (come children to learn) still influences the next generation of teachers and students.

Also, it is necessary to mention our teachers who have received worldwide recognition.

Muamer Gul, a mathematics teacher at the «Bilim Innovation» school for gifted young men in Nur-Sultan, entered the Guinness Book of Records. In 2000, Muamer's students won three gold medals at the World Mathematics Olympiad in the USA. Then they were able to bypass schoolchildren from China, Russia and the USA.

Askhat Zhumabekov is a young physics teacher at the intellectual school named after Nursultan Nazarbayev in Semey this year became a finalist of the international award Global Teacher Prize.

The younger generation of teachers in Kazakhstan is actively mastering social networks. Ulan Usenov, a teacher from Almaty, showed a creative approach to teaching children. His videos on Tiktok, Instagram have become very popular among students, where a young teacher explains school material through a popular Japanese animated series. The chemistry teacher who conquered TikTok became the winner of the project "100 new faces of Kazakhstan".

These are just a few examples of the success of Kazakhstani teachers who use all their creativity and enthusiasm for the benefit of domestic education.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan congratulates Kazakhstani teachers on the holiday! We wish you success in your noble mission!
