On September 8, 2021, negotiations were held between the International Technopark of IT Startups «Astana Hub» and the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP). During the negotiations, the Kazakh side spoke about the activities of «Astana Hub», current achievements and potential opportunities for foreign startups. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on establishing cooperation, signing a memorandum of cooperation and implementing joint projects.
QSTP is a center for scientific and technical research and development. It is the first free trade zone in Qatar and the location of international technology companies and an incubator of start-up enterprises.
The day before, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Doha Arman Issagaliyev visited QSTP and met with its leadership. During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat noted that Kazakhstan pays great attention to digitalization and innovative development and spoke about the largest international technopark of IT startups in Central Asia-«Astana Hub», which has established itself as an attractive platform for startups of any scale.
A number of Qatari companies have already expressed interest in working at the «Astana Hub» site. The first company to register in the Kazakhstan technopark and open its representative office there was «Snoonu» - the leading Qatari company for the delivery of consumer goods through a mobile application.
