Congratulations from the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of the beginning of the month of Ramadan

Dear compatriots!

I sincerely congratulate you on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan!
For Muslims, this is a period of spiritual renewal and purification. Ramadan’s fasting appeals to mutual respect and mercy, forgiveness and kindness. People strive to help those in need, make donations, and do good deeds.
The enduring spiritual values of Islam, its creative potential contribute to strengthening the unity and solidarity of our society.
Unfortunately, this year the month of Ramadan will also be held in difficult conditions. All measures are being taken to curb the pandemic. I call on all Muslims of our country to comply with security requirements and strictly follow the recommendations of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Kazakhstan.
I am sure that thanks to solidarity and high responsibility, we will definitely overcome this test.

Let Ramadan’s fast be for the good!

I wish you all happiness and prosperity!
