Ambassador of Kazakhstan took part in an environmental project in Qatar
On the eve of the celebration of Nauryz, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Doha A. Isagaliev took part in the “Planting a Million Trees” initiative, organized by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of Qatar.
This initiative was launched in 2019 as part of Qatar's commitment to the Paris Agreement and is aimed at greening and maintaining the state's ecological system. Trees are planted along highways, industrial zones, sewage treatment plants and storage facilities, rainwater harvesting areas, city and municipal lanes, public parks, schools and housing estates.
This environmental project, which aims to promote biodiversity, use treated water for irrigation, improve air quality and increase green space to reduce gas emissions, is supported by all citizens and foreigners living in Qatar.
