The Ambassador of Kazakhstan met with the Chief Executive Officer of the national company "Widam Food"

On February 17, 2021 the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Doha A. Isagaliev met with the Chief Executive Officer of the National Company «Widam Food» AlNoubay Salem Al Marri to discuss the possibility of supplying Kazakhstani meat products to Qatar.

The diplomat spoke about the export capacities of Kazakhstan, the potential of the livestock sector and the demand for Kazakh meat in the world market, including in the Middle East. In addition, the prospects for investment in agricultural projects on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for breeding cows and sheep with subsequent export to Qatar were considered.

In recent years, interest in the import of Kazakhstani meat in Arab countries has been growing noticeably, as evidenced by the increase in the supply of our meat products to the markets of these countries. The Qatari company "Widam Food", which is the main importer and trader of food products, primarily meat, on the local market, is also showing interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan.

February 3 this year in Doha, negotiations between Widam Food and representatives of the Kazakh agricultural holding Dinara Group on the supply of lamb and beef to Qatar were held.
