Promotion of IT startups is a new direction of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar

On January 25, 2021, Ambassador A. Isagaliyev met with the Head of the Qatari company "Snoonu" Mr. Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, during which an agreement was reached to open a branch of this company at the site of the international technopark for IT startups "Astana Hub".

 

Snoonu is the first and largest Qatari company to offer fast and cost effective delivery of all kinds of goods via a mobile app, as well as the practice of introducing innovative solutions in this service sector. Currently, the Snoonu application is used by more than 85 thousand people in 7 countries. In order to expand the business and enter the Asian region, the heads of the company drew attention to the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its economic platforms for investors (AIFC, Astana Hub).

 

Mr. Hamad Al-Hajri noted the presence of high-level human resources in Kazakhstan in the field of information technology, as well as the attractive conditions created in the country for the development of startups.
