The Ambassador of Kazakhstan met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Qatar and the head of the company «Hassad Food»

On October 20, 2020, Ambassador A. Isagaliyev met with the Minister of Trade and Industry of the State of Qatar, co-chairman of the Kazakh-Qatari High-Level Group (intergovernmental commission) Ali bin Ahmad Al-Kawari to discuss priority areas of cooperation between the two countries.

The Parties noted the high potential of interaction in the investment, trade and economic spheres and outlined concrete actions to enhance bilateral ties.

In particular, an arrangement was reached to increase the trade turnover, the indicators of which have recently shown an upward trend. This was facilitated by the opening of direct cargo flights, as well as intensive business contacts.

In addition, the Kazakh diplomat discussed with the Qatari Minister a number of investment projects that will be implemented in Kazakhstan in the coming years.

On the same day, the Ambassador met with the Chief Executive Officer of the national company "Hassad Food" Muhammad Badr al-Sadah.  

This company deals with issues of ensuring food security in Qatar and investment cooperation with foreign countries.  

During the conversation, the issues of exporting Kazakhstani agricultural products to Qatar, as well as target investments in agrarian projects of Kazakhstan were discussed.

Currently, a cooperation agreement is being prepared for signing between the “Hassad Food” company and the Kazakh national managing holding «KazAgro».
