Ambassador of Kazakhstan presented his credentials to the Emir of Qatar

On September 27, 2020, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar Arman Issagaliyev presented his credentials to the Emir of Qatar H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the conversation after the presentation of credentials ceremony, the Kazakh diplomat conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the Emir. The Ambassador emphasized that Qatar is important and reliable partner of Kazakhstan, and assured that he would make every effort to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.

Issagaliyev spoke about the latest successes and achievements of our country in the political, economic and social spheres, and also acquainted the Interlocutor with the main provisions of the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the people of Kazakhstan on the topic «Kazakhstan in a new reality: time for action».

In turn, the Emir congratulated the Kazakh Ambassador on the commencement of the diplomatic mission in Qatar and wished Him success in further expanding Kazakh-Qatari cooperation. H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stressed that His country attaches great importance to the comprehensive development of relations with Kazakhstan, which it considers to be its priority partner in Central Asia. The Emir mentioned his official visit to Kazakhstan in 2014, which was his first trip to the region. He spoke warmly about our country, emphasizing its serious political weight and significant economic potential.

The Emir of Qatar noted that his state visit to Kazakhstan was planned in March of this year in accordance with the agreements reached at the meeting with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K-Zh.K. Tokayev on the sidelines of the V CICA summit in June 2019 in Dushanbe. However, the date of the visit was postponed due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

H.H. Sheikh Tamim promised that he will come to Nur-Sultan in the nearest future and discuss with President K-Zh.K. Tokayev the entire range of issues of bilateral cooperation, primarily in trade, economic and investment spheres.
