India-CIS: Cooperation for Economic Development

New-Delhi, 20 June 2024 –  The staff of the Embassy of Kazakhstan took part in the Round table devoted to the issues of mutual cooperation between India and CIS countries in the field of water resources, energy and infrastructure projects. Representatives of CIS diplomatic missions, Indian executive agencies and large business were also invited to the event organized by India's state-owned enterprise «WAPCOS Limited».

During the discussion, the parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in these areas for the development of economic potential.

The Kazak side told about the systematic work on preservation of water and resource potential of the country being built at this stage. In addition, the investment potential of the energy sector was presented, in which a special role was given to RES.

Within the framework of the Round table, Indian business was invited to participate in the realization of investment infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan.

As a result of the event, an agreement was reached to hold similar meetings on a regular basis.
