Egypt is Interested in Increasing Direct Flights to Kazakhstan

Cairo, February 25, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt Askar Zhengis held a meetting with the Minister of Civil Aviation of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Al-Hafni and discussed with him current matters of bilateral relations, including the prospects for opening air passenger and cargo flights connecting the capitals of the two states.

There are currently 48 flights a week connecting Egyptian tourist and resort destinations with a number of cities in Kazakhstan. Although trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Egypt is growing annually, its volume does not correspond to the significant potential of the two countries. In this regard, the establishment of direct flights between the capitals of the two countries is of great importance in terms of strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties, as well as activating political, educational, cultural and humanitarian relations.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in the mentioned areas.
