Newly appointed Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt is interested in joint elaboration of scientific projects with stakeholders of Kazakhstan

Cairo, October 29, 2024 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt Mr. Kairat Lama Sharif held a meeting with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour and presented to him a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Mr. Sayasat Nurbek.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for further development of cooperation in the field of science and education between the two countries. In particular, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in the field of higher education as follows:

- Intensification of the implementation of internationally funded joint educational projects in areas of mutual interest for both countries;

- Creation of a mechanism of cooperation between universities of the two countries;

- In addition to the exchange of curricula, programs, publications, scientific books and periodicals in the field of higher education, exchange of visits by students and staff of universities of the two countries;

- Joint participation in higher education events held by students from both countries, etc.

The parties also confirm and support the development of scientific and technical cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expanding cooperation in the field of scientific research, including the following areas:

- Joint research and development of projects of mutual interest;

- Exchange with researchers and technical experts;

-Organization of conferences, symposiums, training courses, seminars, exhibitions and participation in scientific meetings;

- Scientific, technical and information exchange, etc.

The importance of mutual exchange of grants for bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs was also noted.
