Kazakh youth of Hungary took a step into the future

Budapest, June 18, 2024 – Zhanibek Abdrashov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary, attended the farewell event «Stipendium Hungaricum».

More than 500 students from Kazakhstan are studying in Hungary's higher education institutions as part of the Hungarian government program «Stipendium Hungaricum». They receive 250 scholarships each year.

It should be noted that the Stipendium Hungaricum program was extended for three years, until 2027, as a result of negotiations between Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan and Viktor Orban, Hungarian Prime Minister in November last year.

In the academic year 2023-2024, 164 students from Kazakhstan graduated from Hungary's higher education institutions. They mainly studied in Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, and Pécs. They received education in such specialties as «engineering», «logistics», «IT», «road transportation», and others at universities.

In his turn, Ambassador Zhanibek Abdrashov met with the young specialists who took a step into the future and wished them success in achieving their goals.
