Kazakhstan delegation participated for the first time in the Hungarian elections as observers

Budapest, June 8-9, 2024 – Nurlan Abdirov, Chairman of the Republic of Kazakhstan's Central Election Commission, paid an official visit at the invitation of Hungary's National Election Office President, Dr. Attila Nagy.

During the bilateral meeting, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Election Office of Hungary signed a Memorandum of Understanding, and the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation, the exchange of best practices in the electoral system, and the implementation of new technologies.

In addition, the Kazakh group led by N. Abdirov served as foreign observers at the European Parliament and local government elections held in Hungary on June 9.

It is important to point out that the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan is participating in the European Parliament elections as an international observer for the first time.
