Kazakh Ambassador meets with Commissioner for fundamental rights of Hungary

Budapest, May 15, 2023 - Zhanibek Abdrashov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary, had a meeting with Ákos Kozma, the Hungarian Commissioner for Fundamental Rights.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the role of national human rights institutions and agreed to further strengthen cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hungary.

The Ambassador briefed the interlocutor on key aspects of Kazakhstan's ongoing political reforms aimed at building an open and fair society, ensuring the rule of law, and protecting human rights.

For his part, the Human Rights Commissioner noted that Hungary is interested in developing cooperation between the Ombudsman institutions of the Organization of Turkic States.
