Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Hungary met with the President of the Hungarian company MOL Group

Budapest, March 8, 2023 - Ambassador Mr. Zhanibek Abdrashov held a meeting with the President of the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Group Mr. Zsolt Hernadi.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector, in particular, the implementation of a joint project for the development of the Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field in the West Kazakhstan region within the Ural Oil and Gas LLP.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of increasing the supply of Kazakh oil to Hungary and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Ambassador Abdrashov also briefed the Hungarian partners on Kazakhstan's political reforms and upcoming parliamentary elections.

The MOL company is the largest oil and gas company in Central and Eastern Europe and the technical leader of Ural Oil and Gas LLP. The Rozhkovskoye field, which is included in the comprehensive plan for the development of the gas industry of Kazakhstan as one of the projects to expand the country's gas resource base, is scheduled to come on stream in the near future. During its work in Kazakhstan, the company has invested more than $200 million in the economy of our country.
