“Abay Center” was opened in Budapest

On October 30, 2020 in Budapest in honor of the 175th Anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher, enlightener and public figure Abai Kunanbayev the official opening ceremony of "Abai Center" was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hungary.

The event was attended by prominent public figures of Hungary, representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora, Kazakh students studying in universities of Hungary, as well as Hungarian students studying Kazakh language and literature and interested in Kazakh culture.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary Mr. Zh. Abdrashov noted in his welcoming speech that the purpose of the Center is to promote Kazakh culture, art and literature, as well as to help representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora and Hungarian students to study Kazakh language and literature, also to teach them on national musical instruments.

During the event, the representatives of student youth have read the poems, words of edification and sang songs of Abay.
