Evening of Art and Friendship: Kazakhstan and Romania united by Music

On November 29, the National University of Music in Bucharest hosted a landmark cultural event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Romania as part of efforts to deepen cooperation between the two countries. The evening brought together representatives of Romanian intellectuals, the diplomatic corps, art figures, the business community, and the Kazakh diaspora.

As is known, on November 12 of this year, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Bucharest between the Kazakh National University of Arts and the National University of Music of Romania. As part of the implementation of this agreement, a unique two-piano concert was held, marking the first joint project symbolizing the strengthening of cultural ties between our nations.

Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Romania, Mr. Y. Ali, opened the evening by emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange as a vital element of friendship between peoples. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the University of Music and to Ms. D. Moș personally for their collaboration, noting that music and art serve as bridges connecting nations.

The stage featured performances by Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, composer and pianist G. Uzenbayeva, and international competition laureate, pianist D. Ali. Their program included pieces from Kazakh, global, and, notably, Romanian classical music. Additionally, students from the National University of Music, Ș. Pretuleac and A. Mărgineanu, who accompanied the musicians, became an integral part of the piano evening.

That evening, music became a powerful symbol of shared values and another significant step in strengthening friendship and cooperation between Kazakhstan and Romania.
