A distinguished event marking Kazakhstan’s Republic Day was held in Bucharest at the Opera Hall of the National University of Music. The event, organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Romania with the support of the University’s Rector, Mrs. Diana Mosh, brought together leading figures from Romanian society, diplomats, cultural professionals, business representatives and the Kazakh diaspora.
Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Romania, H.E. Mr. Yerlik Ali, officially opened the ceremony, offering his heartfelt congratulations to the attendees on Republic Day. He emphasized that the holiday symbolizes Kazakhstan's journey toward independence and prosperity, and underscored the importance of fostering friendship and cultural exchange between the two nations. The Ambassador also expressed his gratitude to the National University of Music and to Mrs. Diana Mosh for their support in organizing the concert.
A significant highlight of the evening was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Kazakh National University of Arts and the National University of Music in Bucharest, aimed at further strengthening cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Romania.
The program continued with a concert featuring the celebrated Kazakh opera singer Azamat Zheltyrguzov, who performed an impressive selection of works from both international and Kazakh classical music. He was accompanied by Dana Ali, a laureate of international competitions, whose virtuoso playing added remarkable depth and emotional nuance to the performance. Their collaboration brought the hall to life, with each musical piece leaving the audience deeply moved and applauding in admiration.
This event served as a vivid demonstration of the importance of cultural dialogue between Kazakhstan and Romania, illustrating how music and the arts can serve as powerful bridges between nations, transcending geographical boundaries and fostering shared values and mutual understanding.
