Co-operation in the field of transport and logistics was the main topic of the meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania Sorin Grindeanu

16 January 2024, Bucharest - Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali held a meeting with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania Sorin Grindeanu.

The parties discussed concrete ways to promote co-operation and co-ordination relations in different modes of transport.

The Ambassador informed about the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries, the existing potential for the development of cooperation in the transport and logistics sector. The sides recognized the expediency of enhancing cooperation in railway and maritime transport.

The parties considered the progress of preparation for the signing of a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Transport of Kazakhstan and Romania on the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.  

The interlocutors also discussed the schedule of upcoming international events with the participation of the leadership of the Ministries of Transport of the two countries.
