Meeting of Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali with President of the National Agency for Mineral Resources of Romania Alexandru Petrescu

10 October 2023, Bucharest - Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali held a meeting with the President of the National Agency for Mineral Resources of Romania Alexandru Petrescu.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the exploration and production of mineral resources, exchanged experience in the field of legislative regulation of issues related to the development of the mining industry of two countries.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan informed about the current socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and paid special attention to the main provisions of the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan "Economic Course of a Just Kazakhstan", in terms of the application of legislation on the management of the mining sector, project approval procedures and flexible regulatory and fiscal conditions for investors.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen economic cooperation in the critical raw materials sector and agreed to intensify work on the "Roadmap" for 2023-2024 on the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union in the production of rare earth metals, "green" hydrogen and supply of batteries.
