About the meeting of Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali with Minister of Finance of Romania Marcel-Ioan Boloş

September 27, 2023, Bucharest - Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali held a meeting with the Minister of Finance of Romania, Marcel-Ioan Boloş and discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the financial sphere.

During the conversation there was also a substantive exchange of views on the practice of taxation and tax administration, in particular, with regard to the application of corporate tax on excess profits for companies operating in the oil and gas sectors of the economy.

Understanding the importance and potential of Kazakhstan-Romanian economic ties, the necessity to continue the bilateral dialogue in order to maintain a favorable investment climate was emphasized. The issues related to financial and investment activities of "KMG International N.V." in Romania were also considered.

At the end of the conversation, the parties agreed to continue discussing these issues at the level of experts of the specialized ministries and departments of the two countries.
