Issues in the field of digitalization discussed during the meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali with the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of Romania Bogdan-Gruia Ivan

25 September 2023, Bucharest - Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali held a meeting with the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of Romania Bogdan-Gruia Ivan.

During the meeting the Romanian side was provided with detailed information on Kazakhstan's significant successes in the field of digitalization, work on the digital transformation of the country's public administration, in particular, the services of the «e-Government» portal, «Smart Bridge» and the «eGov Mobile» application.

In order to stimulate the development of technological entrepreneurship, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan invited the Romanian side to actively cooperate with the «AstanaHub» technopark, proposed to establish interdepartmental relations between universities of Kazakhstan and Romania in the field of IT-direction and new technologies.

In turn, the Minister, taking into account the huge potential and innovative level of development of Kazakhstan, noted the prospects of bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness for close cooperation in the implementation of «digital» initiatives of Kazakhstan and Romania.

Following the results of the meeting, the parties expressed interest in the conclusion of a relevant document between the ministries of the two countries. An agreement to organize expert meetings in the near future to identify mutually acceptable areas of bilateral cooperation was also reached.
