Cooperation with Kazakhstan in education and science discussed in Romania

5 September 2023, Bucharest - Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali held a meeting with the Minister of Education of Romania Ligia Deca. During the meeting, the Head of the diplomatic mission informed about the upcoming visit of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Nurtleu to Romania in autumn this year.

During the meeting the sides exchanged information about the higher education system and the ongoing reforms in this sphere. The Minister noted that Romanian universities are open to foreign students, including from Kazakhstan, and drew attention to the provision of special grants for training in various specialities, including IT technologies.

The participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the intensification of co-operation in higher education and scientific research.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue close co-operation in order to implement the agreements reached during the negotiations, including within the framework of expanding the legal framework of the two countries.
