On the official visit of the Head of State to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

During the talks with the top leadership of Vietnam, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation in trade and economic, investment, energy, transportation and logistics, agro-industrial, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Head of our State thanked Vo Van Thuong for hospitality and said he attached great importance to the visit.

Kasym-Jomart Tokayev visited a number of production facilities and held meetings with representatives of large businesses in Vietnam.

The Kazakh President said that by the end of last year, mutual trade exceeded the mark of half a billion dollars, for the first six months of 2023 has already reached 600 million dollars. By the end of the year, it is planned to bring this important figure to 1 billion dollars.

The head of state expressed confidence that today's talks would open a new stage in the development of bilateral cooperation.
