Тhe 28th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On December 10, in Bucharest, a reception organized on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by well-known deputies, politicians, representatives of business and academic circles, diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Romania, the media, as well as Kazakh citizens and students living in the host country. 

In his welcoming speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Romania Nurbakh Rustemov noted that these independence years with the leadership of the First President N. Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan has become a politically and economically independent, raliabile state in the world.

The Kazakh diplomat told the guests in detail about the initiatives of the President of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev on the process of deep political transformation of the country. At the same time, the Ambassador paid special attention to the first State of the Nation Address of the President, which clearly indicates that without reforms in the socio-political sphere, political liberalization and dialogue with civil society, effective economic reforms are impossible.

At the same time, Ambassador noted that Kazakhstan and Romania have a fairly high level of trade. Romania is main trading partner in South-Eastern Europe. Trade turnover between our countries for 9 months of 2019 amounted to 1,337 billion dollars.

In turn, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Dan Nicolaescu, congratulating on occasion of Independence Day, noted that Kazakhstan is a key partner of Romania in Central Asia. He stressed that there is a need to take confident steps to deepen bilateral ties in many areas.   

In the framework of the event, organized a concert of famous cultural figures of Kazakhstan – Tolegen Mukhamejanov, Nurzhamal Usenbayeva, Nurzhan Bazhekenov, as well as no less famous Romanian tenor Calin Bratescu, who performed a joint and solo program. 

Along with this, during the official event, was held an exhibition of Kazakh young artist – Alua Tebenova, offered to taste a rich assortment of Kazakh national cuisine and well known for all over the world Almaty apples “Aport”.
