Chess is a new direction in the Kazakh-Romanian cooperation in the field of sports

November 7 this year a friendly online match took place between Kazakh and Romanian young chess players.
The Kazakhstan and the Romanian Chess Federations organized the event by the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Bucharest.
Each country was represented by 12 chess players: 2 boys and 2 girls in the age categories up to 12, 14 and 16 years old.
The chess battles of the two countries have become another contribution to the development and strengthening of interaction between our countries, as well as a step towards rapprochement and the establishment of friendly relations between Kazakh and Romanian youth.
There is no doubt that the match will help to popularize the chess.
As a result, the teams played in two rounds in a draw.
All 24 participants were presented with memorable gifts sponsored by the Rompetrol company.
